Dr. Bennett is a 22-year breast cancer survivor. She is featured in the first ad campaign for MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas. As a result, that commercial received a Cleo award for the very first “Making Cancer History “ commercial series. She has been featured in the Texas Monthly Magazine, in flight magazines for formerly Continental Airlines, participated in a ground-breaking ceremony at MD Anderson for the Mayes Clinic Building, has been featured on the Anderson website and in a book for newly diagnosed MD Anderson cancer patients. Currently she serves as an advocate to the Advanced Breast Cancer Committee at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Bennett also serves as an advocate on a Department of Defense grant submitted from MD Anderson Cancer Center. She also reviews and provides input on grant proposals for the Department of Defense on breast cancer research.

Basmah is a current master degree student at the university of Debrecen- Hungary. She is a diligent and hardworking, and has an excellent bachelor and master transcript, in addition to receiving the first award of medical research while in her home country Jordan in a conference for the National Jordanian universities research awards for designing an evaluation tool for diabetes (knowledge, practice), for clients at nursing homes. The student has a general interest in non-communicable diseases, however, after working for about three years in an oncology and bone marrow transplant ward, she developed an interest in Cancer generally and specifically in breast cancer. The publication submitted is her first paper to publish. The publication is a systematic review aimed to identify the association between parity, age at first pregnancy, breast-feeding and the risk of breast cancer in the European continent and it is ongoing.

Mr Yves KALINIJABO is passionate biotechnologists, eager to implement biotechnology to solving problems mainly in medical biotechnology field. He is fresh from University of Rwanda and has conducted research on breast cancer, he mainly wants to build his career in cancer research. He is now starting a research on rapid tests for breast cancer. He does not have enough experience but hopes through interaction with other high profile researchers in conferences he will get all necessary knowledge and experience.
