Prof. Beebe received a BS in Zoology, Ohio Univ., Athens (1970); was a Peace Corps Volunteer (British
West Indies, 1973-1975) before receiving a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences (Pharmacology), Medical College of
Ohio (1982, now Toledo University School of Medicine. He was Post-Doctoral Fellow / Associate at
Howard Hugh Medical Institute, Dept Molecular Physiology and Biophysics, Vanderbilt (1982-1986); a
Fulbright and Marshal Scholar, Oslo (1986-1988); Assistant (Gynecology), Associate (Pediatric /
Physiological Sciences), Professor, Eastern Virginia Medical School (1989-2007); and now a Professor in
the Center for Bioelectrics, Old Dominion University (ODU), Norfolk, VA. According to a Stanford study,
he was included in the top 2% of most cited scientists in his field worldwide over the last 3 years. He is a member of Sigma Xi
